This week the quirky new book Strange But True America was announced as a Finalist in the "History" category of the National Best Books 2009 Awards, sponsored by USA Book News.

Your entry can be any historic curiosity that does NOT appear in the new book Strange But True, America. You may read your state's tales by checking the index on page 151 of the book at your public library, or you may request your state's stories for free by emailing jhafnor@aol.com. You will discover many weird and largely unknown history tales at your library, or by using Google and other search engines.
